Happy Valentine's Day, but first let me catch you up on some of the things that have happened this week.

On Sunday, February 7, 2016, we had Elders Passmore, who is from Rigby, Idaho, and Fisher, who is from Grantsville, UT, and Emmanuel Elkins and Joe Cruz, from the branch over for dinner.  Irene fixed a roast with potatoes, gravy, peas and carrots.  As usual, she out did herself again!  Everyone loved it and there was little left for leftovers.  We are glad they came and we love having them.

Elders Fisher and Passmore
Elder Passmore wanted me to cut his hair, so we invited them over on Monday for breakfast and after breakfast the job got done.  The elders usually get their hair cut at places like Super Cuts so they know which number of attachment to use.  So when they sit down, I ask them, "Which numbers?" and they say #7 on top and #4 on the side and back.  It makes it pretty easy to do, but I always hesitate to take off as much as they want right off the bat.  It's easier to take a little off at a time rather than try to tape it back on if I took too much off!
Elder Passmore getting a new do!
Tuesday, at the Martinsburg Zone Conference luncheon, we served taco soup and clam chowder, both of which were made by Sister Christiansen the night before.  All we do is the final preparation, setting it out, and clean up after it's done.  We love it and are grateful to be apart of it.

Elder Leavitt is the one looking down and is the other assistant to the president.  He too is a super young man!  We are grateful to know both of them.

A lot of the elders and sisters decorate their planners with pictures, ties, or whatever to give them a little pizzazz.  So, I thought I would fix mine up a little bit too.

Last night Irene gave me a mason jar lid and asked me to make a heart-shaped cookie cutter so she could make some sugar cookies for valentine's day.  So, I got the pliers out and went to work.

This is our new cookie cutter.  I think we'll donate it to the apartment.

When Irene cooks, my job is to clean up.  I should learn not to make any comments about the mess as she prepares the food.  The results are always delightfully delicious.
What the hey....!  I cook, Bob cleans up.
This is a picture Irene took on our way out to Martinsburg Zone Conference.

Irene gave me a plastic lid and asked if I would make a heart-shaped cookie cutter of it.  I told her that it wont work.  I gave no further explanation, so she quietly went to work on it to make it herself.  After a few cuts on it she figured out the reason it wouldn't work.

Life is good!  We love you all.
