Since the last blog we have been super busy, which has been lots of fun too.
First, we prepared a power point presentation on the third principle of Self-Reliance, which is "Obedience." We encourage all of you to click on the link below to watch this cool video.

Second, the rain here the past few days has been a delight. I know that in some places it has been horrible, but here, not so bad for flooding. I did notice that the Patapsco River rose about three feet out of its banks a couple of miles away from the apartment, but I don't think it caused any damage.
Third, on Friday we drove to Elder & Sister Baker's to see their place. It's very nice. The Bakers are Military Relations Missionaries assigned to Fort Meade. Both of them served in the Air Force. They are also in our District.
Fourth, Irene found a new grocery store! It's called Wegmans. Her intrigue was with the contents of the store, mine was with the parking structure they built and I wondered why a parking structure. The cost of ground must be awfully expensive if it's cheaper to build a structure than to buy additional property to spread out the parking. That must have come from my City Planning backgound.
Fifth, Elders Carlson and Deering spent Saturday watching conference in our apartment with us. It was interesting watching conference from Noon to 2 and from 4 to 6. Elder Carlson did reveal that his mother generally always takes a short nap during a session of conference. Well, I confessed that I have been known to do the same thing occasionally.
Finally, today we went to the Glen Burnie Ward Building to watch the first session of conference today. Following conference, some of the members brought food to eat between sessions and invited the missionaries to eat with them. There were 10 missionaries and about 16 others. Good food and great to visit.
